Delivering business success through our people
This role will be responsible for designated areas and activities associated with the processing and storage of fresh meat to ensure the objectives for Quality, Safety and Legality (to include Animal Welfare).
The overall purpose is to efficiently and effectively manage the department ensuring that your targets and objectives are continually achieved and that Company procedures as detailed in the Company Handbook and other Codes of Practice and Policy Documents are maintained at all times.
This role will be required to support the Site Director with achieving and maintaining the site requirements. The suitable candidate will be required to demonstrate a methodical approach to work with a keen eye for detail, with the ability to work on their own initiative and be part of the senior team.
The person will be required to liaise with members of management & staff in other departments to resolve incoming queries; therefore, strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
The candidate will be in regular contact with both internal and external personnel, therefore it is essential the successful candidate can communicate in a professional, effective and confident manner.
Good IT skills are essential, as are excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Previous experience in an Abattoir and in management would be an advantage.
