We are currently seeking a dynamic and results driven Export Sales Manager, reporting to the European General Manager, to drive export business development for existing and possibly new lines, meeting and exceeding sales and margin targets in specific territories in the UK, Europe and possibly Middle East.
The ideal candidate will have experience in selling meat products into Europe including Germany, France, Belgium, Italy etc. and also have contacts in these markets and possibly further afield, i.e. the Middles East, and Asia.
This role will take responsibility for selling products and solutions to new and existing customers within the food manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will head up the Export Team and regular international travel will be required.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
To identify and develop new business opportunities and revenue streams and provide a high level of account management to existing customers.
To drive growth in share of international markets by maximising the performance of the distributor network and identifying new partners.
Develop and implement commercial strategies to developing strategic territories within Europe in existing and new markets and geographies.
Ensure a high level of pro-active relationship management to develop sales to existing distribution partners and customers.
2+ years sales experience in managing accounts and international distributor networks.
A background in export management within the food manufacturing sector is essential.
Commercial awareness and proven ability to manage a budget, sales and profitability.
Proven experience of solution selling.
Fluency in one or more of the other major European languages (i.e. French, German, Italian, Spanish) highly desirable.
Clean driving license and flexibility to travel overseas on a regular basis.
