Our Production lines are fast and demanding and it’s the role of our Line Leaders to ensure they’re running at top capacity – creating top quality products for our customers.
Reporting into the Team Manager you will also be responsible for ensuring the team are motivated, the lines are running smoothly.You would be accountable for organising a small group of colleagues, to ensure its smooth running to maximise achievement to targets in connection with efficiency, yield, cost, waste, and service level.
Other responsibilities will include:
  • Be willing to work in the Abattoir environment in the presence of blood and animal matter which may come into contact with the colleague
  • Typically working in temperatures up to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing desirable
  • Full PPE must be worn at all times whilst undertaking the role including white trousers and coat, hair net or beard snood and bump cap
  • Have an understanding of the slaughter process
  • Be responsible for training and developing and managing a team
  • Understand and comply with all relevant business and site policies such as Health & Safety, food hygiene standards

About You
As well as being really organised you’ll also:

  • Level 2 Food Safety qualified  (Training can be provided)
  • Clear concise communication skills including following written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to evaluate available resources and organise to maximise outputs
  • Working in a noisy environment in excess of 85db where hearing protection must be worn at all times
  • Able to follow and issue written and verbal instruction
  • WATOK qualified (Training can be provided)
  • Full slaughter licence preferred
  • Flexibility adaptability, teamwork and the ability to work under pressure
  • Able to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, peers, and internal customers
