Meatex is a wholesale meat and seafood trading company based in Seaford, East Sussex.
We’re looking for an experienced Seafood Sales Executive to help further expand and grow our ambitious company.
The ideal applicant should have a good background knowledge of the seafood trade with a proven track record in sales and business development.
The successful candidate must be an effective communicator, computer literate, and be able to work using own initiative as well as part of our team.
Our office is in the coastal town of Seaford, East Sussex (BN25) Between Brighton and Eastbourne.
Key responsibilities –
- Manage sales of fish products to key caterers and food service wholesalers in the UK, Ireland and Europe. Single pallets to full containers.
- Grow and develop sales of our own brand fish products.
- Liaise with suppliers, process orders and work with the team to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Build and maintain a strong customer base through the provision of excellent service to both existing and new customers.
Key qualifications / experience –
- A proven track record in selling to the wholesale industry is a must.
- Good product knowledge and commercial experience working within the fish industry.
- Strong communication skills including an excellent telephone manner.
- Self-motivated – Working on your own initiative in generating new business opportunities.
- Good negotiator
- Will have the drive and commitment to seek every possible sales opportunity
- Pro-active, ambitious and ready to make a difference.
- A sense of humour.
Excellent salary plus commission.
