Role title: Sustainability Officer

 

Role location: Flexible. It is anticipated that there will be minimal travel associated with the role.

 

Role structure:

Reporting to the Group Sustainability Manager, the Sustainability Officer will work closely with the group sustainability representatives and sustainable agricultural team, taking a supporting role in championing sustainability as a way of working across the business.

 

Role purpose:

The Sustainabitliy Officer is responsible for supporting the maintenance and governance of the sustainability strategy for the Kepak Group.  The role will necessarily entail a collaborative working relationship with other functions within the sites & across the Group

 

How you can make an impact:

  • Support the monitoring of various business frameworks and targets within the business with cross functional teams (eg. Origin Green & Science Based Targets)
  • Support key customer interactions & relationships
  • Play a role in synthesizing and communicating regulatory and customer requirements within the business
  • Research and study various sustainability topics to support the sustainability department
  • Project manage sustainability projects, where appropriate
  • Support the sustainability department to meet business objectives
  • Support the sustainability department to deliver on all customer requests and requirements
  • Ssynthesise and communicate key legal & customer requirements to the Sustainability Manager
  • Support and maintain reporting requirements

 

What you will bring:

  • 3rd level qualification in Sustainability or an Agricultural related discipline is advantageous
  • This role is suitable for graduate entry, full training & support will be provided
  • Any experience in Sustainability, Agriculture or the food industry is advantageous
  • Advanced PC skills such Excel, PowerPoint & Word
  • Ability to work in cross function teams
  • Strong planning & organisational skills
  • Good project management skills
