About the role


As the Training Manager, you will be an integral HR team member leading the design & facilitation of crucial initiatives and management training requirements on site.


With responsibility for induction and training for all UK Poultry & temporary staff on site, you will manage the training database and generate the monthly MI reports on training hours/days for all site training. Ensuring all legal and compliance training is in date and providing compliant documentation and associated administration to internal and external retailer audit requirements.


By managing and coordinating facilitators/trainers/assessors, you will develop a pragmatic and focussed L&D Strategy and training programme to support the factory by delivering additional skills, flexibility, and shop floor development. You will continue to review and maintain the induction package for UK poultry, staff and contractor roles.


·      Engrain an overall organisational training strategy for the site linked to group requirements.

·      Support Managers to identify skills gaps and training requirements/development needs in conjunction with key departments, Driving the site culture and values through all training and activities.

·      Identify leadership development requirements and create a development program for career pathways for the site in conjunction with group objectives.

·      Develop a site-wide Training plan linked into a visual Matrix.

·      Evaluate organisational performance to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performance.

·      Develop in conjunction with Union Official the Union Learning Activities Programme & Resource, point of contact for the arranging and conducting factory tours and be the liaison for our Corporate Social Responsibility.


About you; 


·      Experience in a similar Training coordination position with a Manufacturing sector

·      Diploma/Degree in L&D or Training, Train the Trainer Qualification, H&S & Food Safety Legislation

·      Experience in Succession plans, Employment Levy & Site training strategies and Employee & Union Relations

·      Audit preparation, Administration and Control

·      Excellent IT Skills including excel, word & PowerPoint
