Our Merthyr site are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly, passionate team as: UK Recruitment Coordinator

ROLE STRUCTURE:

The role will be based in Merthyr reporting to the Group Recruitment Coordinator with a dotted reporting line to the HR Operatonal Manager;

 

ROLE PURPOSE:

To work closely with the site HR teams and Group Recruitment to provide an efficient  recruitment service to the business;

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Designing and posting job advertisements as per agreed sourcing methodology  across internal and external systems
– Screening responses, presenting applications to recruiting managers in an appropriate and timely fashion and arranging              interviews;
– Ensuring that recruitment campaigns are proactively monitored during the advertising period, working closely with relevant       personnel to take action where applications received are few in number or of poor quality;
– Providing a customer focused service to applicants and managers, responding promptly to queries received;
– Completing reference and employment checks, including Right to Work;
– Administering and sending offer letters and induction materials;
– Notifying unsuccessful candidates at the conclusion of campaign, dealing with requests for interview feedback and providing administrative support to ensure the successful conclusion of recruitment campaigns;
– Managing visa applications for foreign national workers as appropriate;
– Initiating and coordinating onboarding in consultation with the recruiting manager;
– Maintain a site standard manning plan, collaborating with the Operations team to ensure clarity around recruitment needs for the medium term;
– Supporting the site HRM’s and Group Recruitment in designing initiatives to improve community links in school, training colleges, job centres etc;
– Recruitment related project work;

 

ROLE DELIVERABLES:

– Job adverts posted in a timely fashion in appropriate forums;
– Applications screened in accordance with the role requirements;
– Timely responses to applications;
– All appropriate documentation in place for new starters;
– Clarity around the recruitment needs for the site in the medium term;

 

ROLE QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:

– Experience in a recruitment role is essential;
– Very strong administration skills;
– Strong communication skills;
– Excellent organisation skills;
– IT capability;

 

ROLE TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
It is anticipated that there will be some travel with the role;
