Here at Coleg Cambria, we are now looking for an Assessor in Food Manufacturing to join us at our Deeside Campus.
In order to be successful in this role, candidates must possess or be willing to work towards an Assessor qualification and hold a professionally relevant qualification at Level 3 as a minimum. With an outgoing and positive personality and strong team working skills, you will be able to demonstrate a commitment to the maintenance and development of quality standards and have acceptable levels of Essential Skills, particularly verbal and numerical reasoning. Occupational experience in the Meat & Poultry sector of Food Manufacturing sector is essential. Butchery skills is also desirable.
You do need to be self-motivated, have good organisational skills and time management, including the ability to carry out administrative tasks to support the role. Those who have experience of liaising with managers in industry and commerce and who are confident working directly with external verifiers and awarding bodies will be of distinct advantage. A strong team player with excellent personal organisational skills, you will be proficient in the use of MS Office to create and edit documents and presentations.
Assessing the full range of NVQ’s at Levels 1, 2, 3 & 4 you will monitor candidates progress towards qualifications, give them constructive feedback and help them prepare a portfolio of evidence. Developing assessment methodology and documentation including learning materials and workbooks, you will conduct Training Needs Analysis for candidates, enrol them on appropriate courses and provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities.
Candidates must hold a valid driving licence and have access to own transport.
The ability to speak fluent Welsh is desirable.
