NZ: Staff cuts on the cards at meat processor Alliance
Alliance Group is currently conducting a review of its operational framework, which may lead to a few staff members being made redundant.
The review aims to ensure that the company is adequately meeting the demands of its farmers, customers, and global market conditions.
Consequently, the management has begun a consultation process with some of its employees to make necessary changes to their reporting lines, scope of positions, or offer them alternative roles that suit their skillset and experience. However, for a small number of individuals, these changes may result in the termination of their employment with Alliance.
Despite this, Alliance Group’s commitment to providing high-quality service and value to its shareholders remains steadfast, and they aim to support their people throughout this transitional phase.
With over 2300 employees at peak season across its Invercargill office and Lorneville and Mataura plants, Alliance Group continues to be one of Southland’s most significant employers, and their Invercargill and Christchurch offices play crucial roles in the company’s network.
