We want to achieve a greater opening on the Chinese market, above all for our meat products, Poland’s President Andrzej Duda said before departing for China on Saturday.

During his five-day official visit, the president will meet China’s President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, address economic forums in Dalian and Shanghai, and present decorations at the Polish embassy.

Duda reported that the countries are set to sign several economic agreements, “but the most important are the ongoing efforts, which hopefully will culminate in a successful opening of the Chinese market for Polish poultry,” and later beef.

Duda said that his talks with Jinping would also focus on increasing Chinese investment in Poland and the need for new transport routes as the import and export of goods from China are now hampered by the war in Ukraine and the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border.

Duda reported that the countries are set to sign several economic agreements, “but the most important are the ongoing efforts, which hopefully will culminate in a successful opening of the Chinese market for Polish poultry,” and later beef.
