General Operator Abattoir Watergrasshill roles are available with Kepak Group, an Irish-owned business and one of Europe’s leading meat processors. This vacancy is listed via the Meatex Jobs Board and offers a permanent opportunity within Kepak’s abattoir operations in County Cork.

Role overview

You will work as part of the abattoir team, producing cuts and trims of meat to Kepak specifications while maintaining efficiency at line speed. The role is fast paced and hands-on, with a strong focus on safety, quality and meeting daily production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Produce cuts and trims of meat to Kepak specifications

• Work efficiently to line speed while meeting production targets

• Support daily and weekly output requirements

• Carry out physical duties, including lifting and standing

• Operate machinery only when fully trained and authorised

• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment

• Support colleagues and work effectively as part of a team

What you’ll bring

You are reliable, hardworking and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. You bring energy, enthusiasm and a positive, safety-conscious attitude. Previous knife skills or butchery experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment are beneficial but not essential, as training is provided. Good communication skills and attention to detail are important.

Pay, benefits and work pattern

This is a permanent, day-shift role. Working hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 7am–5pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am–5pm.
