Pay

£13.54 per hour

Role purpose

As a Trainee Butcher, you will support meat preparation across multiple production departments while developing core butchery and knife skills through structured, hands-on training.

You will work as part of a production team, learning best practice in hygiene, quality and safety while building a long-term career in the food industry.

Key responsibilities

Learn and develop butchery and knife skills through on-the-job training

Support meat preparation across departments including:
• Main butchery
• Slaughter
• Primal cutting
• Middle debone

Follow strict food safety, hygiene and quality standards

Work effectively within a team to meet daily production targets

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment

Demonstrate a willingness to learn and continuously improve
