Overview
To support Dunbia & Co-Op through improving product performance via collaborative demand planning, the provision of analytical support (sales analysis, waste, availability and ranging), detailed product & market knowledge and category insight.
Responsibilities
The Role
- Accurate and effective communication between Dunbia & Coop as well as internal departments
- Investigation, analysis & improvement of key issues affecting inbound availability and on-shelf availability.
- Working collaboratively with Coop Supply Chain Analysts to agree promotional forecasting with a focus on key events throughout the year.
- Analyse BAU & promotional performance and identify learnings and opportunities to improve proposition.
- Daily tracking of key lines with particular focus on key promotional periods (i.e. Xmas) highlighting key issues with immediate escalation, contingency action and resolution
- Drive new collaborative initiatives between Dunbia and Coop, championing and implementing innovative ideas to help meet shared objectives.
- Updating and reporting weekly commercial performance and KPI’s and flagging concerns and areas for focus
- Utilise appropriate Dunbia/Coop reporting tools and systems to pro-actively provide feedback to improve performance.
- Maintain product & vendor details so that order placement and delivery flows through the system efficiently.
- Ad-hoc project management from feasibility stage through to implementation and review stages. Working with Dunbia/Coop teams to provide solutions for problematic issues within the category.
Qualifications
Experience and Qualification:
- Outstanding analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail
- A team player with the ability to interact with colleagues across a wide range of departments and businesses.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, communication, & IT skills
- Good understanding of a convenience retailer’s business model and processes
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience within a high volume FMCG role
- Experience of project-management within the FMCG industry
- Ability to work under periods of high pressure and to manage workload effectively to meet Dunbia & Coop’s goals.
- A self-managing proactive approach
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 2 years’ business analysis / systems implementation experience.
- Experience of the full systems delivery lifecycle, preferably using traditional (waterfall) or agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience of directly interacting with end users at various levels within an organisation;
- Experience of working to deliver projects which meet customer requirements.
- Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting business processes.
- A proven track record in software testing and end user training.
Objectives & Measures
- Supplier Inbound performance
- Communication of KPI reports
- Analysis & recommendations across supply chain and commercial departments
- Maintain and exceed on-shelf availability targets.
- Promotional performance targets met.
- Cross-functional forecasting processes embedded.
- Evidence of value adding activity / innovation being implemented and integrated within the team.
- Store visits / competitor analysis reporting and recommendations.
- Completing ad-hoc projects as and when required by Dunbia or Coop
Working Environment
- Hybrid role consisting of 2 days in Coop’s Manchester head office and 3 days at home.
- Predominantly working with Dunbia/Coop Supply Chain & Commercial teams but the role will require cross-functionality working alongside other departments including Technical, Agriculture, Product Development & Insight
- Reporting directly into the Coop Commercial Manager
- Some weekend / bank holiday working may be required on an ad-hoc basis, particularly around key trading periods.
- Occasional travel required to Dunbia (Dungannon site – Northern Ireland) alongside.
