The Dunbia Group, Dungannon are looking for a Quality Manager for our Primary Site to join their successful FSQ Team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will report directly to the Primary FSQ Manager, working closely with site management & QA team. Their remit will be to contribute to our ongoing success in being recognised as Industry Leaders in Food Safety, Quality, Innovation and Animal Welfare.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuing improvement of the Food Safety and Quality Management Systems through the management of records, audits, SOPs, reviews and corrective actions
- Support the implementation and continuing improvement of the Animal Welfare programme through staff training, behaviours and culture and compliance with customer and legal requirements
- Support the management of Microbiological /Chemical sampling programmes
- Support the management of the Site Hygiene System ensuring that training, equipment and chemicals are up to date and available. Eg SOPs, Cleaning Audits, MSDS Sheets, HACCP
- Support the Preventative Maintenance Plan by identifying and resolving issues to ensure product safety and legality
- Promote a Food Safety Culture by driving various initiatives eg Food Safety Week
- Provide support and aid with site visits, external and internal audits
- Attend Site meetings to report on relevant KPIs and follow up on agreed actions
- Daily engagement with Production Management and reporting on standards
- Project Involvement for example implementation of paperless quality system
Qualifications
Essential
- 3rd Level Qualification in a Food Science or related discipline
- Minimum 1 years supervisory experience within Food Manufacturing
- Level 3 HACCP and Food Safety certificates
- A working knowledge of audit standards eg BRCGS, Red Tractor & Customer Requirements
- Excellent understanding of Food Safety & Quality processes and Quality Management
- Keen interest in helping lead and development a team to deliver high standards
- Ability to make decisions, help develop strategy and drive our Quality and Animal Welfare agenda
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to positively influence at all levels of the business
- Self-motivated, professionally driven approach to problem solving with the ability to deliver improvements
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise based on the needs of the business
Desirable
- Previous experience and internal audit qualification an advantage
