My job
- The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the safe operation and day to day control of the Purchasing function on the Craigavon site.
- Developing relationships with other key internal departments eg. Planning, Operations, Commercial and Procurement teams.
- To work with supply base to initiate and develop optimised ordering arrangements, respecting MOQ, Minimum Stock levels, leadtimes, scheduling of deliveries.
- To assist in cost saving initiatives.
- To work closely with the Central Procurement and Operations teams to maximise efficiencies within the company.
- To identify areas for development within the department and evaluate current working practices and implement KPI’s.
- To benchmark Moy Park stocking facilities/procedures/targets against comparable business units and submit recommendations.
