The Role
As a Skilled Abattoir Operator, you will be an essential part of the abattoir team, producing cuts and trims of meat to Kepak specifications while working safely and efficiently at line speed.
This is a hands-on, physical role where quality, consistency, and safety are critical to daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Produce cuts and trims of meat to Kepak specifications

Work efficiently at production line speed

Meet daily and weekly production targets

Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and product quality

Work independently and as part of a team

Carry out physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
Skills & Experience Required
To be successful, you must have:

Previous experience in an abattoir or boning hall environment

Proven, competent knife skills
-
Ability to meet required line speeds consistently

A strong safety-focused mindset

Ability to work both independently and within a team

Comfort with the physical demands of the role
