Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

You will be working as part of the Positive Release team in the factory ensuring products are checked to Kepak specification before distribution.

This is a full time, permanent position working 3.30pm to 1.00am Monday to Friday with a salary of £11.94 per hour with 2 x unpaid 30 minute breaks.

Role Purpose

To ensure the Positive Release Department is running smoothly by adhering to the Health & Safety instructions and work codes put in place.

• Manually lift prepared pallets of beef and lamb trimmings onto the belt.
• You will need to be able to lift pallets and boxes of meat of up to 20kg.
• This is a fast paced position so a good level of fitness is required.
• You will have a good eye for detail being able to assess the quality of meat and packaging before it is released
• You must be able to adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• You be working in a chilled area of between 2 to 4 degrees.
