Despatch Operative – Nights | Merthyr Tydfil

Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to work in our busy Merthyr Tydfil site.

This is a full time, permanent position working on the night shift – 6.00pm to 2.30am Monday to Friday with an hourly rate of £12.94.

Job Description:

• Make sure stock is rotated effectively within your department.

• Handle the booking of stock and assist with unloading and loading wagons.

• Engage in picking and scanning items to fulfill orders.

• Your main goal is to guarantee that the right products are picked and the correct quantities are dispatched.

• Take responsibility for ensuring all documentation is completed with precision.

Qualifications And Experience:

• Strong numerical abilities
• Solid command of the English language
• Prior experience in a warehouse setting is a plus
• Familiarity with PPT is a bonus but not required
• A robust work ethic
