C&K Meats, a respected name in the food industry and proudly based in Eye, Suffolk, is on the hunt for a passionate and experienced Head of Technical to join our leadership team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the guardian of food safety, legality, quality and compliance – ensuring our products meet the highest standards, every step of the way. You’ll play a key role in maintaining our trusted reputation with major accreditations and demanding customers, while building strong, strategic relationships with suppliers, partners and regulators.
Whilst part of the senior management team on site, you’ll report directly to the Group Head of ESG and Technical, providing expert guidance to site-based stakeholders and leading the charge on technical excellence across our supply chain.

Additionally, our successful candidate will not only make the role their own for C&K Meats, but will also have opportunity to expand their technical impact and reach across the entire Livestock and Agriculture Division over the next couple of years.

The candidate we are looking for has::
- Experience in industry and commercial operation standards – BRC, BMPA, Retailer and Export Markets (in particular USA and China)
- Slaughter background (essential)
- Experience in managing and developing a technical team within the food manufacturing sector
- Experience with export to third countries
- Experience of working relationships with on-site OVs and the FSA
- Good IT literacy and numeracy skills
- HACCP L3 (desired)
- Food Safety L4 (desired)
- Livestock agriculture experience (desired)
- Team player (essential)
