This apprenticeship offers a practical entry point into food manufacturing, combining paid work with structured training. You’ll work within a chilled production environment while developing the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed for a long-term career in FMCG operations.
Programme Overview
As an Operations Apprentice, you will:

Learn how food products move from farm to consumer

Gain hands-on experience across production and manufacturing processes

Work with modern machinery and equipment
-
Develop an understanding of quality, labelling, weight control, and documentation

Learn to identify defects and report concerns, with full training provided
Alongside on-the-job learning, you will:

Work towards a Level 2 Food & Drink Operative qualification

Complete Food Hygiene and Food Safety training
-
Receive support with Functional Skills in Maths and English if required
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Support production teams to meet customer specifications

Produce high-quality products in line with safety and quality standards

Operate machinery under supervision

Complete quality assurance and production documentation accurately

Report defects and raise concerns promptly

Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times
