Are you a trained butcher or someone with strong butchery skills from behind the counter or a professional kitchen?

You’ll be the face of the butchers counter — preparing fresh cuts, engaging with customers, and showcasing traditional butchery skills that make Morrisons stand out.

Your Responsibilities

As a Market Street Butcher, you’ll deliver high standards of quality and service across the meat department.

Key Duties:

Prepare meat primals for sale to company specification – steaking, dicing, mincing, boning, flavouring, and wrapping.
Maintain fresh, attractive product displays to promote sales throughout the day.
Ensure accurate pricing, weighing, and labelling of all products.
Produce bespoke cuts and online customer orders as requested.
Operate knives, saws, mincers, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Deliver outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
Uphold strict food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.

What You’ll Bring

Butchery or knife skills – experience in retail or catering preferred.
Friendly, approachable personality with a passion for customer service.
Attention to detail and pride in presentation.
Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work across other fresh food counters when required.
