Role purpose

Support the safe, humane and efficient processing of livestock within the abattoir

Ensure production activities meet animal welfare, food safety and regulatory standards
Key responsibilities

Carry out primary processing tasks within the abattoir

Follow animal welfare procedures and site SOPs at all times

Operate tools and equipment safely once trained

Support line operations to achieve daily production targets

Maintain clean, hygienic and compliant work areas

Minimise contamination, waste and product loss

Report any welfare, safety or quality concerns immediately

Work effectively as part of a production team
What we’re looking for

Previous experience in an abattoir or meat processing role (desirable)

Strong awareness of animal welfare and food safety standards

Reliable, punctual and physically capable of manual work
