Role overview
You will work as part of the abattoir team, processing cattle in line with animal welfare, food safety and health & safety standards. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, offering the opportunity to train across multiple tasks and develop into a multi-skilled operative.
Key responsibilities

Process cattle in accordance with animal welfare and food safety standards

Carry out tasks such as stunning, flanking, legging, trimming, back saw, hide removal and preparatory trimming

Work as part of a team to meet production deadlines and customer specifications

Maximise yield while minimising waste and contamination

Follow all health & safety procedures at all times

Engage fully in training, communication and personal development

Undertake additional duties as required in a safe and compliant manner
What you’ll bring
You are motivated, reliable and keen to learn. Previous experience in a similar role or experience using knives is beneficial but not essential, as training is provided. You are hardworking, able to use your own initiative and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment. Good communication skills and a positive attitude are important.
Pay, hours and location
This is a permanent, full-time role based at ABP UK, Bridge of Allan (FK9). Working hours are 6am to job finish, approximately 48 hours per week. Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience.
