Role overview
You will work as part of the abattoir team, dressing and trimming carcasses to ABP and customer specifications. The role focuses on quality, yield, food safety and animal welfare, while meeting daily production targets in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities

Dress and trim carcasses to ABP and customer specifications

Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards

Trim carcasses to achieve optimum yield in line with legislation

Work safely and in accordance with training and site procedures

Follow food safety, hygiene and animal welfare requirements

Maintain operational effectiveness of equipment and report faults

Maintain personal PPE at all times

Seek training to maintain and improve skills

Work effectively as part of a team and take responsibility for own work

Carry out additional reasonable duties as required
What you’ll bring
Previous experience in a food production environment is desirable but not essential. You either have demonstrable knife skills for skilled roles or a willingness to learn in semi-skilled or trainee positions. You are reliable, detail-focused and able to work on your own initiative while contributing positively to a team. Good communication, attendance and timekeeping are essential.
