Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team in preparing high-quality meats for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and excellent knife skills.
Duties:
– Prepare meats for sale by cutting, trimming, boning, grinding, or slicing
– Ensure all meats are handled and stored correctly to maintain freshness
– Assist customers with selecting the right cuts of meat and provide cooking recommendations
– Operate and maintain butchery equipment safely and efficiently
– Keep work areas clean and sanitised according to food safety standards
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a Butcher or similar role in a kitchen or restaurant setting
– In-depth knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques
– Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
– Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
– Strong communication skills to interact with customers effectively

Hours will cover – prep day. As part of a farm shop you will be required to work both Saturday and Sunday
We can operate for a half day on a Sunday
This is a new position and is open for negotiation with hours for the right candidate as long as it suits the needs of the business

Pay: £12.00-£12.94 per hour
Expected hours: 21 – 29 per week
