Duties:
– Prepare and cut meat products according to customer specifications and preferences
– Ensure proper storage and handling of meat products to maintain freshness and quality
– Operate and maintain butchering equipment and tools
– Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe work environment
– Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
– Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering recommendations
Requirements:
– Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role preferred
– Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and food production
– Familiarity with different cuts of meat and their uses
– Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
– Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
