Role overview
You will learn core butchery and processing skills through a mix of factory-based and classroom training. Working under the guidance of a Training Supervisor, you will develop an understanding of customer specifications, quality standards and the commercial impact of accurate processing, while building safe and compliant working practices.
Key responsibilities

Attend factory and classroom training as required

Follow instructions from the Training Supervisor and management team

Complete all classwork and on-the-job training to required standards

Learn customer specifications and quality requirements

Communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments

Attend meetings when required

Follow all health & safety and hygiene procedures at all times

Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards

Carry out reasonable additional duties as required
What you’ll bring
You are willing, flexible and keen to learn new skills in a hands-on environment. You have a good level of physical ability, strong attention to detail and the focus needed for production work. Basic literacy and numeracy skills are required. A positive attitude and commitment to training are essential.
Pay, hours and location
This is a permanent, full-time apprenticeship role based at ABP UK, Ellesmere (SY12). Working hours are Monday to Friday. Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience and progression through training.
