With the UK demand for skilled butchers the highest it has ever been, we are keen to attract the next generation of exciting and ambitious new talent to join the team here at Cranswick.
Becoming a butchery apprentice will offer you the opportunity to learn the skills of a specialised Pork Butcher, all whilst earning a full-time wage and gaining a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Butchery.
What will you be doing?
- You will master the art of precision cutting and trimming to ensure the highest quality of pork products
- Learning essential knife skills that will kick-start your career within the in-demand butchery trade
- You’ll develop a strong product knowledge and a deep understanding of different cuts of pork
- Adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards in the handling and preparation of meat products
- Participating in formal apprenticeship training sessions to enhance your industry skills and knowledge
- You will work amongst seasoned trade professionals who will support you to become a skilled professional
