Role purpose

Support slaughter hall operations to ensure livestock are processed safely, humanely and efficiently
-
Maintain strict compliance with animal welfare, food safety and operational standards
Key responsibilities

Carry out slaughter hall and primary processing tasks as trained
-
Support humane handling and slaughter of livestock in line with welfare regulations
-
Operate knives and equipment safely and correctly
-
Handle carcasses and by-products in accordance with SOPs
-
Maintain hygiene, food safety and Health & Safety standards at all times
-
Meet daily production targets without compromising welfare or quality

Keep work areas clean, organised and compliant

Work effectively as part of the slaughter hall team
What we’re looking for

Previous experience in slaughter or meat processing (preferred but not essential)

Strong awareness of animal welfare standards

Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
