The Role
As a Butchery Supervisor your primary focus will be to;
- Ensure that all butchery work is carried out to the required standards of quality and value
- Offer an excellent level of customer engagement through offering advice, recommendations and assistance.
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene within the store.
- Support and work effectively with your colleagues.
- Continually work in a sales driven manner to achieve targets.
- Drive the team to develop in-store knowledge, skills and confidence and process.
- Support the store manager and Store Supervisor.
Weekly paid £12.15 per hour

Key Accountabilities
- Preparing different cuts of meat in line with customer and company requirements.
- Providing advice and training to other staff on butchery activities
- Greeting and serving customers.
- Preparing counter.
- Assisting customers with their purchases and providing product knowledge.
- Preparation of counter and pre-pack areas.
- Product sampling.
- Stock rotation.
- Receiving deliveries and completing paperwork required.
- Special offer material distribution.
- General cleaning.
- Supporting management function.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven butchery skills gained in a retail or manufacturing environment
- Previous experience of supervising others would be advantageous
- Good knowledge of food safety and legal requirements
- Proven customer service excellence.
- Determination to drive sales.
- IT literacy.
- Capability to motivate and guide team daily.
- Ability to support store manager when not on site and act in a professional manner.
- Competent to work well under pressure.
- Strong communication skills.
- The ability to work on own initiative.
