Role overview
In this role, you will support the Trading team at Cranswick’s Preston pork site, helping manage customer accounts and day-to-day sales activity. From day one, you will work closely with internal teams, customers and suppliers to ensure smooth order processing, accurate data management and strong commercial delivery. As a result, you will gain broad exposure across UK and European fresh pork trading.
Key responsibilities

Manage and grow existing customer accounts within fresh pork

Identify and develop new sales opportunities in the UK and Europe

Visit customers and suppliers to strengthen relationships and value

Process orders accurately and within required timescales

Support the Trading Manager on new and existing opportunities

Investigate discrepancies and produce reports when required

Maintain accurate records and commercial files

Provide cover for sales and planning colleagues when needed

Deliver agreed KPIs set by the Trading Manager
What you’ll bring
You bring strong attention to detail, clear communication skills and the confidence to work towards targets. While previous sales or commercial experience is beneficial, it is not essential. In addition, you are comfortable using MS Excel and Word, work flexibly in a fast-paced environment, and understand the importance of GDPR and handling sensitive commercial information.
Pay, hours and location
This is a full-time, permanent role based onsite at Cranswick Country Foods, Staithes Road, Preston, Hull (HU12 8TB).
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:30, on a 40-hour contract.
