Our Engineering team are looking for a Purchasing and Stock Controller. Your role will be to take full ownership of all stock controller tasks for the engineering department, being the purchasing first point of contact for suppliers, vendors, and internal team. Responsible for the ordering and issuing of parts and dealing with the account quires. Assist in managing the engineering budget providing HOE weekly updates on forecasted vs actual spend.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
- Managing of administrative tasks including the processing of Purchase Orders, maintaining Engineering databases and stock management systems and ensuring document reconciliation
- Completion of management reports
- Assist the engineering department on customer and compliance audits
- Identify and analyse problems before crises and determine appropriate action and follow –up
- Raising maintenance contracts and managing the monthly payments, including the management of external contract payments and call outs
- Working with the engineering team to determine low stock and reordering limits are correct on management systems
- Complete management of the Pirana system
- Ensuring cost effective and value adding business purchases
Skills and experience desired:
- Experience of an administration or stock control role within a manufacturing/engineering environment would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills
- Intermediate IT skills – Microsoft Office essential
- Knowledge of using a EMS
- Able to demonstrate multi-tasking
- Work calmly under pressure
