About the Role:

Kepak Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Quality Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Food Quality Manager will play a critical role in ensuring our factory maintains the highest levels of quality control and food safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for compliance with customer specifications and all applicable regulatory and statutory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with legal, BRC, MPQAS Bord Bia, and customer standards/requirements.
  • Manage a team of quality professionals, providing leadership, training, and development opportunities.
  • Liaise and build professional relationships with management, production staff, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and legislation, including reviewing and updating the HACCP Plan.
  • Maintain an effective internal auditing program.
  • Serve as the point of contact for customers regarding specifications and quality-related matters.
  • Identify and resolve issues through effective corrective action planning.
  • Investigate customer complaints and implement appropriate corrective and preventative measures.
  • Liaise with officials from the Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine (DAFM).

 

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Background in food manufacturing environments, with knowledge of BRC, retailer, national, and producer group codes of practice and food safety protocols.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience, along with a relevant graduate degree.
  • Experience in leading customer and regulatory audits.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities, with a proactive and flexible approach to managing change.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative, with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other common software tools.
  • High level of analytical, methodological, and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
