Working Hours:

  • Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm (approx.)

  • Tuesday & Thursday: 9:00am – 5:00pm (approx.)

The Kepak Cork site is located in Watergrasshill, approximately 35 minutes from Cork City and 20 minutes from Fermoy.


The Role

As a General Operator within the Abattoir department, you will support the processing of meat products to Kepak specifications while working safely and efficiently at line speed.

This is a physical, hands-on role in a fast-paced factory environment, where attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability are key to daily production success.


Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Produce cuts and trims of meat to Kepak specifications

  • Work efficiently at production line speed

  • Meet daily and weekly production targets

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and product quality

  • Operate machinery safely once fully trained

  • Carry out physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods

  • Support additional tasks as required by the Line Supervisor


Skills & Requirements

To be successful, you should demonstrate:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong work ethic with a reliable and self-motivated approach

  • Comfort with physical work in a production environment

  • Ability to maintain line speed and meet output targets

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality

  • Commitment to site safety procedures and guidelines

  • Willingness to learn and follow direction

  • Effective communication skills

Previous knife skills or butchery experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment are an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
