Interim Production Supervisor | Dungannon

The company currently wishes to recruit highly skilled, motivated Production Supervisor based in our Dungannon Retail site, on an Interim basis. Essentially we are seeking determined and committed individuals who can impact on performance and make a positive contribution to the company’s future growth.  Ensuring production orders are completed on time and in spec and all operational targets are met while ensuring product quality.

The Role:

• Daily planning of the production schedule and correct stock rotation.
• Ensure that the department conforms to Company Codes of Practice, policies, legislation and customer requirements and good housekeeping is maintained
• Work with team leaders to ensure all product produced meets the QAS
• Ensure all orders are produced on time
• Ensure department KPI’s are met, including yield, giveaway, efficiency and labour and understand the financial implications
• Ensure skill matrix are up to date, identify training needs and put a training program in place to ensure succession planning in the department
• Lead by example, coach, motivate and challenge the team. Give feedback.
• Identify cost saving opportunities, reduce waste and promote continuous improvement. Encourage the team to bring forward ideas
• Maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations.

The Person:

• GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent
• Minimum 1 Years Supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, together with the ability to assist in leading and motivating a team
• Basic IT knowledge (additional training on in-house systems will be provided on appointment)
• Experience working in food manufacturing is desirable but not essential
