Knife Skills Operative | Bodmin

Kepak is one of Europe’s leading food producers, is seeking a Knife Skills Operative to join our team at our Bodmin site. As a Knife Skills Operative, your role will be essential in ensuring that our meat products are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Use knives and other equipment to prepare and process meat products according to production specifications.
• Ensure that meat products are cut and trimmed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Keep work area clean and follow all safety regulations and procedures.
• Meet production goals and work as a team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Properly store and handle meat products to prevent waste and spoilage.
• Perform quality inspections on meat products to ensure they meet established standards.
• Continuously learn and improve knowledge of knife skills and meat processing techniques.

You will start work at 06:00 in the morning and work until production is finished, Monday to Friday with weekends off. This role offers a full time contract.

Depending on your experience you will start on £12.92 per hour, this can increase the more you learn and develop.

• Previous experience in a knife skills or meat processing role preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow strict production specifications and safety procedures.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift and move heavy items.
• Excellent communication skills, including fluent English language proficiency.
