We are currently recruiting for a Lorry Driver based at Clonmore Store.
The Job of a Lorry Driver in Clonmore involves transporting live birds from rearing farms, and delivering them safely to each laying farm ensuring that bird welfare is adhered to at all times. The Clonmore Lorry Driver works as part of a team of people and independently reporting directly to the Site Manager. Lorry Drivers are required to effectively liaise with Forepersons, other Lorry Drivers, Farmers and catching team.
The hours of work are Monday- Thursday 8am-4:30pm and Fridays 8am- 3:30pm.
The rate of pay is £14.04 per hour.
Essential
- Must be able to read, write, speak and listen in English
- Must be numerate
- Must be able to think clearly e.g. good reasoning ability
- Must have good communication skills
- Good manual dexterity is essential
- Must be able to operate a Tachograph
- Must have an awareness of hygiene and quality issues
- Must have a positive attitude to work and others
- Must have a HGV class 1 licence
- Must have lorry driving experience.
- Must have Moffat Mounty forklift licence
- Experience transporting food/food products/livestock/poultry/eggs is desirable
- Evidence of ability to complete and understand paperwork is desirable
- Knowledge of the importance of temperature control desirable
- Good communication skills desirable
- Experience and knowledge of hygiene, cleanliness and simple maintenance desirable
- Digital Tachograph experience desirable
- The ability to work on own initiative is desirable
- Good interpersonal skills are desirable.
- Up to date completed CPC training Essential. (Driver Qualification Card)
