Working Hours:
20 hours per week
0600-1600 – Sat & Sun

About the role:
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the rotation of the production line and to relieve all roles as and when required. You will adhere to health and safety at all times and follow all tasks in line with food safety rules.

Duties include:
• Pre-start checks and setting up of any relevant systems
• Carrying out start up checks to ensure safe and efficient line start of machinery
• Change, monitor and adjust line process equipment to ensure optimum efficiency and conformance to customer finished product requirements
• Providing feedback on performance problems to Team Leader & Engineering
• Working closely with the Team Leader/Manager to ensure product meets quality standards
• Completing all paperwork relevant to the role and ensuring job rotation for the team

What you’ll need to be succesful
• Knowledge of the production process, ideally with previous experience of working in the food manufacturing industry
• Intermediate level of communication skills and the ability to communicate in English
• Basic computer skills
• NVQ Level 2 in Food Manufacturing is desirable

A little about our Hereford site:

The Hereford plant is our largest site and processes chicken products across two factory facilities, Grandstand Road and Yazor Road. Grandstand handles processing, whole bird production and portioning, with Yazor responsible for portioning and added value. Across the whole site approximately 1,500 people are employed and it processes 1.9m birds per week.
