Maintenance Manager | Cumbria

To assess, plan, monitor and report Engineering and Maintenance Activities site for the Engineering Department and take responsibility for the equipment and machinery on site to facilitate the safe and efficient running of the factory.

• Being responsible for the equipment and machinery on site to facilitate the safe and efficient running of the factory.
• Ensuring a robust preventative maintenance system is in place.
• Ensuring Engineering Targets are met within deadlines, without compromising quality or control of costs and working within agreed budgets.
• Managing another Maintenance Engineer.
• Reporting to the Site Operations Manager.
• Working closely with the Site Office Manager to ensure stocks and spares are adequate for all equipment and machinery including requesting PO’s when required.
• Maintain the fast-paced environment in line with production needs.
• Ensure customer and company specifications are achieved.
• Promote and maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations.

• Strong Engineering Background.
• Prior Supervisory/Senior Engineer experience.
• Must display a positive and pro-active attitude.
• Work well to strict deadlines and have the ability to cope well under pressure.
• Be reliable and hardworking, whilst having flexible approach to working hours with the ability to work additional hours when required.
