Meat Processing Operative — Sofina Foods | Meatex Jobs

Role overview

In this role, you will support day-to-day meat processing operations, focusing on quality, efficiency and hygiene. From day one, you will cut, trim and prepare products to specification while operating machinery and maintaining strict food safety standards. As a result, you will play a key role in delivering premium products to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Cut, trim and prepare meat to exact specifications

• Operate machinery for mincing and mixing meat products

• Adjust machine settings to meet product requirements

• Inspect products for quality, including size, weight, colour and packaging

• Identify faults and resolve or report issues promptly

• Pack, label and wrap goods ready for dispatch

• Support goods in and goods out processes

• Maintain stock control and accurate scanning records

• Follow food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times

• Carry out additional trained tasks as required

What you’ll bring

You bring strong attention to detail, reliability and a proactive approach to work. In addition, you communicate clearly, work well both independently and as part of a team, and remain calm under pressure. Experience using scanning systems and basic IT is important, alongside a professional attitude, resilience and a willingness to learn and improve.

Pay, hours and location

This is a full-time production role with Sofina Foods. Pay rates, shift patterns and site location are confirmed at application or shortlist stage and may vary depending on operational requirements.
