Join Morrisons as a Skilled Market Street Butcher

We’re looking for trained and passionate butchers to join the Market Street team at Morrisons, Mansfield. If you’ve got butchery skills—whether from a traditional counter or a professional kitchen—and love working with fresh food, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your craft with one of the UK’s leading supermarket brands.

As a Market Street Butcher, you’ll be the face of the fresh meat counter, preparing high-quality cuts, engaging with customers, and helping deliver a standout shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cut meat primals to company specifications (steaking, dicing, mincing, boning, flavouring, and wrapping).
Maintain fresh, attractive displays throughout the trading day.
Ensure product availability and accurate labelling of fresh and pre-packaged meats.
Deliver outstanding, friendly, and helpful customer service.
Meet customer requests—including online orders and bespoke cuts.
Use knives, saws, and other butchery equipment safely and efficiently.
Uphold high standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene.

About You

Previous butchery experience in retail or catering (essential).
Skilled in boning, trimming, cutting, and flavouring meat.
Friendly, customer-focused, and professional.
Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Able to use a range of butchery tools while following Health & Safety standards.
Flexible and willing to support across other Market Street fresh counters.
