At Fairfax Meadow, where excellence is celebrated as the Catering Butcher of the Year 2023, we’re on the lookout for a Marketing Manager to join our team at the Derby Head Office.
This exciting role will also take responsibility for our brand development at Hilton Foods across our international markets, which is a key element to our growth plans.
This is a challenging and unique role which will require collaboration, innovative thinking, and agility to deliver marketing strategy and brand management across diverse areas.
PURPOSE OF ROLE
As a predominantly own label chilled manufacturer we now need a Marketing Manager to develop our marketing strategy and frameworks, providing the platform for growth aligned to our growth strategies. This role will work ‘hands-on’ to implement the strategies and tactics developed.
Fairfax Meadow: Established 50 years ago Fairfax Meadow has grown to become the leading Catering Butcher in the UK and joined the Hilton Foods Family in 2021. We have ambitious plans which need our brand to evolve and a marketing strategy to support the growth across our diverse customer base in the Food Service sector.
Brand & International: Our plans for building Hilton Foods International extend beyond one brand, one product and one market.
Expanding our footprint is a critical part of our growth plan for the next 3 years and beyond, we see an opportunity to develop a branded portfolio to play in international markets where we have an existing presence, such as APAC and North America.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Create and implement an overall 3-year marketing strategy, framework and plan through the marketing mix
– Establish long- and short-term objectives for the products and geographies, including working closely with the wider team to ‘develop and win’ new business
– Plan, direct, implement and evaluate the marketing plan, that drive increased demand for our products and services
– Work closely with the businesses to gain insights and feedback to inform marketing and brand strategy and execution
– Support the communication strategy, managing digital communication including social media
– Develop and manage an integrated B2B marketing program that promotes increased demand for Fairfax Meadow within the foodservice sector
– Develop marketing plans around key seasonal and event driven areas that maximise the business as the ‘go-to’ in the sector
– Lead building a commercially viable retail branded proposition
– Develop and manage a branded portfolio of Meat & Seafood products, identifying the role and direction for the brand within the markets; UK, APAC, North America
– Lead commercially viable launch plans, drawing upon existing UK propositions, but with flexibility to adapt key aspects to ensure ‘fit to win’ for the local markets

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
– At least 3 years of market strategy and planning experience
– Brand development and management track record
– Experience in working with food manufacturers
– Food service experience preferred, but not required
– International experience preferred, but not required
– Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Admin or related field
– Excellent at influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
– Strong organisational and planning skills, brilliant at juggling multiple projects and deadlines
– Excellent communication and presentation skills
– A full driving license
– Able to travel between UK sites and occasional travel outside the UK
