We’re seeking a Skilled Knife Operative to join our busy production team — an excellent opportunity for someone with butchery or meat processing experience looking to progress within a global food business.

This is a hands-on, full-time position offering long-term stability, professional growth, and the chance to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform knife and PPE integrity checks before starting any task.

• Use knives safely and effectively in line with company procedures.

• Cut, trim, and prepare meat products to specification, ensuring correct weight and thickness.

• Achieve yield, giveaway, and quality targets while maximising throughput.

• Communicate proactively with production management on quality or specification issues.

• Maintain strict compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Standards.

• Keep work areas clean, organised, and fully compliant with hygiene regulations.

• Work collaboratively with supervisors, team leaders, and colleagues to achieve production goals.

About You

• Previous experience as a knife operative, butcher, or trimmer preferred (training provided).

• Capable of working efficiently in a fast-moving production environment.

• Good understanding of food safety, HACCP, and Health & Safety practices.

• Positive, reliable, and a strong team player with good communication skills.

• Motivated and punctual with a focus on quality and performance.

Shift Pattern

Shift A:

• Sunday: 6am–6pm

• Monday: 6am–6.30pm

• Tuesday–Thursday: 3pm–11pm

• Friday/Saturday: Off

Shift B:

• Tuesday–Thursday: 6am–2pm

• Friday: 6am–6.30pm

• Saturday: 6am–6pm

• Sunday/Monday: Off
