Sofina Foods is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to support the reliability, safety, and performance of production operations. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on proactive maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement within a modern food manufacturing environment.
This role offers long-term stability, structured shifts, and clear development opportunities.
Shift Pattern
Your normal working pattern will be:

2 x Day shifts: 05:00 – 17:00
-
2 x Night shifts: 17:00 – 05:00
-
4 x Rest days
Key Responsibilities
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will:

Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across factory plant and equipment

Ensure machinery operates efficiently, safely, and in line with regulatory requirements

Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
-
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve line efficiency
-
Maintain best practice in health, safety, and environmental compliance
-
Contribute to lean maintenance practices, including TPM and CI tools
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a proactive engineer with strong multi-skilled capability.
You should have:

NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent
-
Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge
-
Experience working in a manufacturing or food production environment
-
Understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation
-
Exposure to lean manufacturing and TPM methodologies
-
Breathing Apparatus and Fire Fighting certification (desirable)
-
A continuous improvement mindset and strong teamwork skills
