4 on 4 off shift pattern, 17:45 – 05:45

Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers. Now with 22 sites nationwide, Cranswick are dedicated to growing and developing our team.
As our site continues to expand, the role forms part of our new and exciting plate freezing facility, which enables us to maintain the quality and freshness of our products. We are currently looking for a Plate Freezer Line Leader to effectively manage the packing area, ensuring daily production targets are continually achieved.
Main Duties Include (but not limited to):
- Responsible for supervising all aspects of a designated area from delivering a best quality product to ensuring product yields are met at all times
- To effectively lead a team of 5-6 people, ensuring the daily freeze plan is achieved in a safe manner
- Manage traceability throughout the plate freezing process to ensure to products integrity at all times
- Assist in manually packing raw material into the cavities of the plate freezer, ensuring the appropriate outer packaging is applied to the frozen and palletised product
- Conduct pre-operational start-up checks, including controlled documents, equipment check sheets
- Effectively harness, motivate and develop the team within your area in order to reduce staff turnover and encourage maximum productivity and teamwork
- To be multiskilled as a Hygiene Operative as and when required

- Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (preferably food related)
- Proven track record of leading a team
- Good standard of spoken and written English
