Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

We are currently recruiting for Packing Operatives to work in our busy Intakes Department. This is a full time, permanent position working from 6.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday on an hourly rate of £12.94.

• This is a busy department, you will need to be experienced at working in a fast paced environment.
• Being able to work in a colder than average environment – between 2 and 5 degrees.
• You will be handling meat in its raw state, using a knife to cut off excess fat or discoloured parts of the meat.
• Re-weighing the meat and printing new labels.
• Re-packaging the meat.
• Re-labelling the new packages of the meat.
• Manual handling will be required as part of the role.
• Being able to use a computer and read the labels.
