Process Lead Merthyr Tydfil role available with Kepak, a global food company supplying major retailers and foodservice customers. This vacancy is advertised via the Meatex Jobs Board and is based at Kepak’s St. Merryn site in Merthyr Tydfil, supporting beef and lamb processing within the offal section.
Role overview
In this role, you will support the Team Leader to achieve optimum line output through strong efficiency, safety and quality performance. From day one, you will apply specialist process knowledge to operate equipment effectively, reduce downtime and ensure right-first-time production. As a result, you will play a key role in driving performance across a fast-paced operation.
Key responsibilities

Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with standards and proactive hazard identification

Follow safety procedures when setting up, operating and adjusting line equipment

Support accident and near-miss investigations and share learnings across lines

Ensure customer quality standards are understood and applied at each process stage

Maintain optimal GMP standards throughout production

Support internal and external audits, implementing corrective and preventative actions

Align operators to production targets and required actions to achieve them

Ensure operators understand how their actions impact line performance

Prevent safety or quality compromises in pursuit of output

Reduce inefficiency and downtime through prioritised actions and analysis

Support efficient product changeovers and operator coordination

Complete required paperwork accurately and on time

Understand and support cost drivers including yield, waste and giveaway, contributing to RCA activity
What you’ll bring
You bring significant experience in food manufacturing and processing, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In addition, you work confidently on your own initiative, manage multiple priorities and remain ambitious to grow personally and develop the team around you. You communicate effectively, motivate others and actively participate in required training, including OEM updates.
Pay, hours and location
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Merthyr Tydfil.
