C & D Foods is one of Europe’s leading Own Label Pet food manufacturers producing a range of Wet and Dry Pet foods. C & D Foods has 7 production facilities across 6 Countries (Ireland, Denmark, Austria, Spain, The Netherlands and the UK) and 2 sales offices (Germany and Italy). Our Driffield site it located in East Yorkshire, and is one of the major producers of dry Petfood for the business.
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic production operative to work within a shift team, in the production area of the plant, driving area performance by adhering to procedures and practices, sustaining and improving standards and embracing change.
Main Responsibilities are not limited to but will include:
- To run lines to achieve efficiency and productivity targets required.
- Work with all areas of the business to assist in the improvement of the overall success of the site and the right first-time ethos
- Maintain production requirements and manufacture product to maximum throughput within plant capabilities.
- Segregation and minimization of waste disposal.
- Operate all machines and equipment and follow standard settings to ensure product is made to correct specifications.
- Print appropriate labels for products ensuring accurate information is captured to maintain traceability.
- Carry out all tasks in accordance with relevant SOPs, work instructions and CCP checks as trained.
- Record area performance through OEE system, including but not limited to plan performance, breakdowns and down time.
- Ensure smooth and detailed handover is provided at the beginning of each shift to ensure continuity of information.
- Operate all MHE and associated equipment as trained, carrying out operational checks as required.
- Monitor output rates of machinery and act or notify shift manager when these are not at the level expected.
- Monitor and record area wastage. Act and inform production management if wastage is above the level expected.

- Weds/Thurs/Fri – 6am/6pm
- Mon/Tues/Sat/Sun – 6am/6pm
- Weds/Thurs/Fri – 6pm/6am
- Mon/Tues/Sat/Sun – 6pm/6am
