Production Operative — Cranswick | Meatex Jobs

Production Operative role available with Cranswick, a leading UK food producer. This vacancy is advertised via the Meatex Jobs Board and offers an evening shift within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality and efficiency.

Role overview

In this role, you will carry out a variety of production tasks to support the smooth running of day-to-day operations. From day one, you will help ensure products are produced safely, legally and to specification. As a result, you will contribute to maintaining high standards while supporting yield improvement and waste reduction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow product specifications and quality standards at all times

  • Champion health & safety, food hygiene and personal hygiene practices

  • Produce high-quality products while increasing yield and reducing wastage

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to create a positive working environment

  • Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues

  • Demonstrate flexibility by completing a range of production tasks

  • Achieve set targets under guidance of the Team Leader or Shift Manager

  • Report any shortfalls promptly when targets cannot be met

  • Support compliance with company and customer requirements, including audits

  • Contribute to site culture covering food safety, H&S, ethical, environmental and energy behaviours

What you’ll bring

You bring previous experience as a Production Operative within the food industry, alongside a reliable work ethic and strong attendance. In addition, you understand basic food hygiene and health & safety principles, communicate clearly and follow instructions accurately. You work well within a team, remain conscientious under pressure and show enthusiasm toward meeting deadlines.

Pay, hours and location

This is a full-time evening role.

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 15:00–23:00

  • Pay: £13.35 per hour
