Working Hours:

Monday to Sunday, 06:00 – 14:30

5 out of 6 days per week

Sunday worked on a rota basis

Saturday currently non-working
Positions are based at the Rotherham Head Office, with additional opportunities available at other company locations.

The Role
As a Production Operative, you will support the preparation and packing of meat products in line with customer and company requirements.
This is a hands-on role within the order production area of the plant, working to both verbal and documented instructions depending on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Prepare meat products efficiently to customer and company specifications

Package complete orders accurately to customer requirements
-
Comply with metal detection and food safety procedures
-
Maintain correct stock rotation in finished goods areas
-
Follow instructions from supervisors and management
-
Carry out general production duties within your trained capability
-
Keep work areas clean, tidy and organised at all times
-
Dispose of waste correctly and safely
Hygiene & Cleaning Responsibilities
You will be expected to:
-
Follow company hygiene rules at all times
-
Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, including frequent use of hygiene stations
-
Ensure work clothing and equipment remain hygienic throughout the shift
-
Carry out cleaning duties within your work area
-
Support plant cleaning when required (full training on chemicals and safety equipment provided)
Decision-Making & Escalation
-
Make basic decisions related to product standards where trained and experienced
-
Escalate any uncertainty or quality concerns to a supervisor
-
Raise any concerns regarding task suitability with management promptly

Full on-the-job training provided for all tasks
